Mercury City, Moscow
Mercury City — Moscow’s new golden skyscraper — won the Best High-Rise Architecture category in the International Property Awards Europe 2013. The Award followed a 6-year construction process that involved innovative building and engineering technologies, resulting in the highest (339m) tower in Europe.
The design brief required a system that allowed the entire building outline to be animated in three-dimensional grids of white light. Design house Illuminator Group appointed Artistic Licence to provide the dimming, data distribution, control system and systems integration training needed to achieve the required control.
